Life begins at the end of your comfort zone

I consider myself a fairly unconventional therapist. I practice a more holistic approach. I think medication has its place but it will not teach you how to manage your anxiety, depression, etc. Therapy with medication as a "helper" is often a better combination.

I am a big advocate of meditation and exercise. There is evidence that proves cardio exercise works as well, if not better than, some anti-depressants!

I like "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy" (CBT) for some clients, but "Inner Child Therapy" works for others. Sometimes I use "Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy" (REBT) (look up Albert Ellis — he is a trip!). I also use "Exposure Therapy" or "Motivational Interviewing".  It really depends on what YOU need.

Therapy is not one size fits all.

Sometimes I might give you “homework.” (Don’t worry. It might only be a podcast to listen to, or an article to read, or something to practice that we have been working on).

I am a very hands-on, interactive, and directive therapist. You will always have feedback from me. I help you define your goals and then help you figure out how to accomplish them. I am always looking for tools and resources that will fit your needs.
