About Me
My first career as a massage therapist was extremely rewarding. I worked at various spas and health clubs and ultimately had my own business in Westchester County, NY. From 1992 until 2011 that was my main career, and I still hold a massage license today.
In 2001 I was honored to be called on after September 11 to massage rescue workers at the Red Cross Respite Center at St. Johns University in the heart of ground zero, weekly until it closed. When the Respite Center closed, I started a team of volunteer massage therapists. We made weekly visits to over 50 firehouses and to all the major New York City airports, providing supportive massages for the firefighters and Port Authority Police, as they continued their work at ground zero. They were grieving and healing from their profound losses. We did this for two years following 9/11/01. This life-changing experience peaked my interest in psychotherapy.
Several years later, in 2007, I started my journey towards obtaining a bachelors degree, and then a masters degree in Social Work through a five-year program at Fordham University. I am happy to say that, while I thought my massage career was the best and so very rewarding, I am lucky to now have a second career that I equally love!

Since 2012, my career as a social worker has been very rewarding, thanks to my clients who trust my guidance and are brave enough to share the very intimate details of their lives. I am privileged to be a part of their successes and witness the hard work and growth that comes out of facing fears with perseverance and dedication!
